An “Elephant in the Room” is an english metaphorical idiom for an obvious truth that is going unaddressed. The idiomatic expression also applies to an obvious problem or risk no one wants to discuss. A very large issue that everyone is acutely aware of, but nobody wants to talk about. Perhaps a sore spot, perhaps politically incorrect, or perhaps a political hot potato, it’s something that no one wants to touch with a ten foot pole.
We have all experienced this at least once in our lives, an issue everyone senses but can’t or won’t speak on. Here are some interpretations of the elephant in the room, feel free to submit your illustrations and thoughts and you might see them here too.
